Dr. Kristen

Nature-based, people-focused

I’ve always been driven by a love of science, nature, and people—a combination that has guided me through roles in academia, the federal government, and nonprofit organizations, and now as founder of Greenlight Nature Lab for People and Places. Across every chapter, my work has centered on interpreting complex science and translating it into clear, relatable action. Grounded in empathy and respect for how each of us engages in this work, I’m motivated by the shared urgency—and opportunity—of this moment where climate change demands all of us working together.

Greenlight Nature Lab grew out of that same belief—that science can empower people and places to adapt with purpose. Through consulting and collaborative projects, we help land stewards navigate the realities of climate change with clarity and confidence. By blending technical expertise with respect for local knowledge, we co-create strategies that endure: strengthening ecosystems, supporting communities, and building partnerships that last.

If you’re ready to move from ideas to action, I’d love to connect.
